As you know your LA designs starter clutch is completely rebuildable. This kit contains all the parts needed to make your aftermarket starter clutch like new! This kit will not work on a factory Yamaha Clutch but we do include an extra roller and spring to rebuild our old design that LL Extreme uses! Everything needed to rebuild your One way starter clutch with this kit!

Frequently asked questions: How do I know if I have to replace the 52 tooth gear? Your Raptor has a 52 tooth gear that the one way rides on...sometimes the race (bearing surface) gets damaged by the stock one way. Its not a good idea to put a new One Way on a 52 tooth gear if its shows signs of damage. (scaring, galling or anything you can get a nail on) If that looks good your Raptor starting problems can be fixed without replacing the 52 tooth gear. A rule of thumb: If your clutch failed on your gear you need to replace both or your warranty could be denied.

Whats the difference between the 01-03 and the 04-05? The 2001-2003 Raptor one way is the most common unit to fail. Both units have one spring that goes around the entire unit to engage the clutch. The 01-03 have a smaller diameter inner diameter (two inches) The 04-05 hub is closer to two and a quarter inches. Check your VIN number and see what the tenth digit is. If its a 1 you are a 2001....if its a 4 your Raptor is a 2004. Look on the frame under the foot-peg on the left side.

Whats the difference between L&A Designs and L&L Extreme? In the beginning they were partners... as things go in business.....they split up. L&A Designs retained all of the equipment and machines their own products. L&L uses the original nine roller design and outsources(someone else machines it)and ultimately has to charge more for their products. Remember to ask for L&A Designs! Not all aftermarket clutches are the same! L&A is the only company that uses this design and is trade marked.
